The US Central Command (Centcom) announced that the US naval blockade imposed on Iran prevented Tehran from exporting crude oil worth no less than $25 billion, coinciding with the 100th day since the resumption of the blockade. Centcom said, in a post on its official account on the “X” platform, previously Twitter, on Thursday evening: “Today marks the 100th day since the US Central Command Centcom forces resumed the steel American naval blockade imposed on Iran.”
She added: "This measure contributed to preventing Iran from exporting crude oil worth at least $25 billion. It also limited the ability of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard to finance its militias, criminal networks, and terrorist activities." The US Central Command indicated that "Iran has not witnessed any export or import operations by sea, with the exception of humanitarian aid, which US forces allowed to pass through."
The announcement comes within the framework of Centcom's confirmation of the impact of the naval blockade on Iranian trade, especially crude oil exports, which represent one of Tehran's main sources of revenue.
