The ministers swore

Listen to the article. The audio text is automated, generated by an automated system

I know that what we, who work in Her Majesty’s court, write is considered by some to be a kind of recklessness, and I realize very well that appeals are not the business of a “weak” journalist like Janabi, but in every new government formation I live in a state of wishful thinking in a time when some of the “parliamentary gurus” see that pleasing the citizen is a shame and a crime, while others see that positions are “sacred” and it is not permissible to approach the castles of excellencies and dignitaries. In all countries of the world, the position of minister is a job held by someone who possesses the competence. And humility, in Mesopotamia, a minister arrives from the “party and sect,” claiming to be a seal of the sciences of earth and heaven, and he believes that the authorization granted to him by the position allows him to ignore the standards of competence, and for party affiliation alone to be the criterion for work within state institutions. We find him choosing the one who belongs to his party first, then the one who belongs to his clan, then the one who belongs to the parties that support him. And for this, dear reader, you should not be surprised as you watch the scene of the ministers’ department in the Iraqi government as they They repeat: “I swear by God Almighty that I will not work for a party, sect, nationality, or clan at the expense of Iraq.” And do not go hand in hand, rather you must remain silent for fear that you will find yourself accused of insulting the democratic experience. We read a lot about the formation of governments and the appointment of ministers, and we saw how he quietly announced the appointment of Mehrdad Ketabchi as Minister of Defense in Iran, which most of our officials are praising about. The man did not go to his tribe to hold weddings and banquets. At the same time, we saw the new Iraqi Minister of Defense carried on the shoulders of his tribe’s members with the “mekwar” in his hand, and we watched ministers visit Heads of political blocs to offer them loyalty. The developed countries of the world are createdWhich respects its people, its renaissance came first from the experience of competent men who were carefully selected, and secondly from integrity. There is a big difference between those who put the interests of the state and the people first and those who want to please political parties. The parties that scream on satellite channels and criticize quotas and sectarianism insist that there is no government without sharing quotas. Today, Iraqis are well aware that the future can lead to the past, but on conditions, the first of which is that we remember what happened during the past twenty-three years, and that the “adults” realize that corruption is still pervasive in state institutions and that the concept of responsibility must not remain confined to names that have contributed and promoted failure, and laugh at people’s minds. The result will be a state that regrets electricity, lacks the most basic services, and begs the World Bank to solve its salary crisis. In “infidel” countries, the minister plays an essential role in determining state policy. He offers his experience to serve the state, which is why I felt disappointed when I saw pictures of some ministers swearing with one finger to serve the state and leaving the rest of their fingers to serve the parties that brought them.
