- Jose Mourinho, coach of Real Madrid, responded to recent statements made by Javier Tebas, president of the Spanish League and vice president of the Spanish Football Federation. According to the "TNT SPORTS" network, Tebas described the Real Madrid TV channel and other "trumpets" as a "propaganda machine," adding that their mechanisms are similar to those used by Joseph Goebbels, the Nazi preacher, before pointing out that he was comparing propaganda methods, not ideology.
Real Madrid TV usually criticizes the referees' decisions and scheduling matches for the "Merengue" team. Real Madrid demanded the resignation of Javier Tebas, describing his statements as “unbearable” and “extremely dangerous.”
In a press conference held on Saturday, Mourinho said in response to Tebas: “I ask you not to talk about this matter because there are limits, and you have entered into a field in which there are no excuses unless you have a medical condition, and if you do not, there are no justifications or excuses.” He added: "I think that Madrid understands more and more what it is facing, and as I said before, to maintain the great reputation that Spanish football has abroad, it is better that we try to keep this matter here and not take it out."
Jose Mourinho's players are preparing to face Sevilla at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, next Sunday, in the ninth round of LaLiga.
